About Us
With Diabetes being one of the fastest growing conditions in the country our Trust are proud to offer important clinical research in this growing and developing area at York and Scarborough.
Diabetes research focuses on improving the care and treatments for Type 1 and 2 Diabetes patients as well as looking into methods of prevention and early detection of the disease. Our research can also work closely with the paediatrics and community services, as well as work within the maternity departments looking at the impact and treatment of gestational diabetes.
Our research teams work closely with the excellent Diabetes Specialist Nurse teams at York and Scarborough and with their support we can offer patients some of the latest advances in insulin management, interventions and other novel tools to support long-term management of the condition.
