About Us
Our Endoscopy Research looks at some of the latest innovations and treatments in the areas of Endoscopy and Colonoscopy. Our studies investigate the latest technological advances and surgical techniques in relation to Endoscopy offering patients safer and more effective treatments and results. This includes research looking at cancer detection and the mitigation of gastrointestinal conditions and infections.
The Trust hosts research-active Endoscopy centres at our Scarborough Hospital and York Hospital sites; this includes the brand new, state of the art Endoscopy Centre at York Hospital. Together the Trust service covers the majority of North Yorkshire. The team link in closely with the Rapid Diagnostic Centre, Two Week Wait for cancer screening service and Gastrointestinal services within the Trust.
