Born & Bred In (BaBi): Scarborough & York

BABI Banner

Born & Bred In (BaBi) Scarborough and York are two exciting new projects led by York & Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The primary aim for BaBi: Scarborough and BaBi: York is to capture a picture of local health, care and education trends for children growing up in the Scarborough and York areas. This will help identify areas of need for further research and local policy change that we can utilise to create a healthier environment for our local communities and a better start for our children.

BaBi works by collecting routine, anonymized data of the parents pregnancy and the child’s birth continuing on to capture data of child’s health and development as it start it’s journeys through life.

Please watch the video below for an explanation about how the BaBi project works and what enrolment will involve!
